In Buffalo, New York, 1887, Edith Cushing, the youthful little girl of rich American agent Carter Cushing, is gone by her mom's apparition who cautions her, "Be careful with Crimson Peak."Fourteen years after the fact, Edith, a sprouting creator, meets Sir Thomas Sharpe, an English baronet who has gone to the United States with his sister, Lucille, to look for financial specialists for his dirt mining innovation.
